Lip Blush (Candy lips, contour lips, cosmetic lip tattoo)
Lip blushing Is a semi-permanent makeup technique that enhances the natural beauty of your lips.
The border of the lip and full lip are blended together giving a sheer veil of colour throughout the lip defining the shape and creating the illusion of fullness.
Lip blush is Fantastic for:
- Anyone who wants to accentuate and define their natural lips
- Clients who have had lip filler (4 weeks post /4 weeks prior) as the lip border often loses colour when volume is added to the lip.
- Extremely beneficial for people who have faint lips or have lost colour in the lips.
- A-symmetrical lips where the lip borders are uneven.
- Uneven lip tone and colour.
- Those who like the no makeup look.
Things to consider when choosing to have a lip blush treatment:
Remember all \ PMU is a two-step process and sometimes the lips need three treatments.
- If you are prone to cold sores/fever blisters it is advised that you take l-lysine or see a physician to obtain a script for a Cyclivex or Acitab that will prevent an outbreak after the lip procedure.
- Eyelash treatment is a very natural look, ie gloss and go.
- If you prefer a strong solid lip colour I would suggest a full lip treatment.
- During your healing, your lips get flaky, be prepared for this.
Lip Blush Pre-Care
Pre-Care Instructions for Lip Blush.
- Do bring pictures or your favorite lipstick shade to your appointment.
- Avoid taking vitamin E, aspirin, and Ibuprofen 48 hours prior to your appointment.
- Make sure you do not have sunburn, chapped cracked or sore lips before your appointment.
- 3 days before treatment exfoliate your lips and keep them well hydrated by using either Vaseline or a lip balm.
- If you have had any fever blisters please take l-lysine one week before your lip procedure.
- If you have had definite cold sore outbreaks when you stress or get sunburned obtain a prescription for antiviral medication before your treatment, this will counter the possibility of having cold sores/fever blisters after your lip treatment.
Why can fever blisters happen after a lip procedure?
If you have had chickenpox or a herpetic Outbreak the virus is in your system, even if you have had a cold sore when you were 5 there is always a chance you will develop one after a lip blush procedure as lip trauma is caused. In order to avoid this occurrence, it is suggested you start taking antiviral medication one week Prior to your lip treatment.

Please notify me if you have had any previous work done and send me a picture of your brows without any make up on so I can assess , your brows need to be 50% faded for correction to be done. If your brows are still saturated with a lot of pigment or have unfavorable color saline or laser removal would be the best option to lift the old pigment and create new brows.
